Green vehicle exhibit featuring Gidget the Smart Car, UCSD green fleet vehicles, Tesla Roadster, biodiesel Mercdes, MTS natural gas-electric hybrid bus, UCSD’s Greenline biodiesel bus, hydrogen converted car, diesel hydrogen hybrid pickup truck and more. Learn how to compute your carbon footprint and see how you can reduce it by using alternative transportation.

The energy, recycling, conservation and environmental education industries offer a variety of career and internship opportunities. Hear from professionals representing a variety of environmentally focused careers. They’ll share their individual career paths, as well as their best tips for finding environmental internships and jobs.

 

"The Revenge of Nature"

As part of the Division of Social Sciences events celebrating the Charles Darwin Bicentennial, Professor John Bellamy Foster, a pioneer of environmental sociology and leading figure in Marxist sociology, will be discussing the social and economic causes of global warming and the ecological crisis.
